2008 Steward's Manual - Communications
As stated above, Branch Stewards are elected annually. When there is a change in representation, the new steward must notify the Regional Chair as soon as practical. The Chair then notifies the Union's national office, and the Regional Director, in order for the new steward to be recognized and begin his/her duties.
Communications is a two-way street.
The national office distributes the Four Winds to each office, to be placed on the union bulletin board. In addition, NWSEO has established two-way communications through our Homepage on the World Wide Web . The address for our Web Site is www.nwseo.org. In it there in the capability for anyone to e-mail a message to their Regional Chair, National Officer or the Director of Membership Services.
In order for NWSEO to provide the most professional representation possible, it is imperative that members contact their regional officers with issues that arise in the office. The Four Winds periodically updates the membership on the addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of all national council members and the national office. The latest listing should be on the union bulletin board.
